Kirstin the Teacher
Kirstin has been working in higher ed for over 10 years. She has taught courses such as: Foundations of Public Speaking, Voice and Articulation, Humanities, Intro to Theatre, Diversity in Theatre, Theatre in the Modern World, Beginning Acting, Improv, Directing and Advanced Acting. Kirstin has taught workshops in voice and movement, she has run talent reviews and has mentored many students on working professionally in the field of theatre and prepared them for higher education programs.
As an educator Kirstin believes in experience over lecture based learning. Which is why in her classroom you will rarely see her at the center. Peer led group activities and collaborative creative performances take centre stage and the students have raved about the experience since day one.
Kirstin has been an adjunct professor at Harold Washington College, North Park University and Morton College. She has been an invited guest artist at the University of Michigan and the University of Wisconsin Parkside.
